Veteran actress Shabana unapologetically shared that she is a greedy actress and isn’t ashamed of asking for work from directors. She stated, “Yes, absolutely. Certainly, I have absolutely no compunction of going up to a director and saying, ‘When will you cast me? Why will you not cast me? If you don’t cast me, I will go on a rampage outside your house’. I will do a dharna until finally they get fed up and say, ‘Alright, fine, let’s cast her.’ I have absolutely no problem. I have so much confidence.”

Shabana Azmi also recalled an incidence of Anu Malik wherein he chased Umesh Mehra to work with him. She further went ahead and stated that she has no shame to ask for work.
